Sevierville, TN - a wonderful retreat!

We are behind in posting blog updates, becausewe have been off the grid for much of the last two weeks... the kids have been busy exploring all that surrounds them, and the parents have been exhausted in the evenings, so haven’t had a chance to sit down and write some posts. Bear withus - we are headed to Tim’s sister’s house in FL for a few days, so hope to get caught up a bit while we are there.  

After we left WV, we headed to TN - we were on our way to the Great Smokies.  We visited with my friends from medical school - Kristie and Jonathan.  I hadn’t seen Kristie for about 11 years; it was soooo good to catch up with both of them.  They have a gorgeous home on a cliff overlooking Douglas Lake just outside of Sevierville. Jon really feels God has given him the gift of hospitality to serve others, and we can certainly vouch for that!  We were well served with comfort, fun, respite, delicious food and fantastic fellowship.  We had a day to spend on the lake, which the kiddos LOVED!  We wrapped Zane’s leg up to waterproof his splint as much as possible, so he could enjoy the lake and water sports as well. All the kids were also happy to be able to hang out with Abraham and Abigail, Kristie and Jon’s kiddos.
